Commissioners Approve Printing of All Ballots in 3 Languages

At their meeting on February 4, 2014 the Commissioners of the Board of Elections in the City of New York voted unanimously to print all ballots in a maximum of 3 languages, beginning with the General Election on November 4, 2014.

Please look at the samples provided. The first sample is from last year's General Election (6pt font for candidate names), and the second are mock 2014 General Election ballots (10pt font for candidate names). While each election presents different challenges the Board feels that this change will allow it to consistently print ballots in a larger font, making it easier for voters to cast their ballots on Election Day.
